Moats 🤝 Arena

The Avalanche Moats is live on The Arena! Users can stake, lock, or burn their $ARENA without having to leave the app. This will mark the start of V2 staking. The Arena Champions Leaderboard will be unified across all chains and will include the top 500 Moats Points earners. Rewards for Champions may include: - $ARENA yield - Moats points for upcoming Moats airdrop - 2.5% of the total supply of bonded tokens from the Launchpad - A portion of platform revenue in the form of stablecoins (still to come) - A portion of DeFi yield generated in the form of stablecoins (still to come) - Potential ecosystem rewards, whitelists, and airdrops If you’d like to interact with the Moats App directly, follow the link below: https://pro.moats.app/moat/avalanche/0x42f33a4f98bc5ba0af733c624683580a013d1c80 The key difference is that points are no longer earned by the amount of $ARENA staked as a function of time. Rather, Champion status is ranked by the number of Moats points which are earned in a gamified way: - Stake $ARENA = 1x multiplier - Lock $ARENA = 2x - 5x multiplier - Burn $ARENA = 10x multiplier For any users that have already staked on the Robinhood Moats and want to migrate to Avalanche, simply unstake, bridge to Avalanche, and restake. We will be reimbursing all of these users by airdropping them the $ARENA tokens that were lost by unstaking. The key criteria is that these users must redeploy into the new Moats in order to qualify. The old V1 Arena staking system will be deprecated over the coming weeks so make sure to enter into a Moat if you’d like to continue staking. We are excited by the opportunities offered from our V2 staking system in partnership with Moats. Please read more on Moats App below: Moats give users three ways to participate: stake, lock, or burn tokens. Staking provides flexible participation with a 1x Moat Point multiplier, while locking tokens for longer periods provides higher multipliers of 2x to 5x. Burning permanently removes tokens from circulation and provides the highest multiplier at 10x. Moat Points measure a user's participation and determine their share of rewards within each Moat. Points are calculated from the amount staked, locked, or burned and their respective multipliers, with the resulting value normalized for the Moat. The more Moat Points a user holds relative to the total, the larger their share of that Moat's rewards.

The benefit of multichain staking is that the point of friction, in this case bridging, is removed. A unified leaderboard and integration of Moats into Arena UI is the cherry on top. Once all these changes are implemented it'll be the best and most comprehensive staking and points system that any social trading app has ever had.

The Arena will be offering v2 staking with Moats App on @avax starting next week. This will be fully built into Arena so no one needs to leave the app in order to stake. Any user who is already staking on the Robinhood Moat and wants to unstake and restake on Avalanche will have all of their fees airdropped to them. This only qualifies for those who restake. The Robinhood Moats will stay active. Users can choose where they want to stake based on a multichain staking model we will be publishing more info on. We will be extending the Moats set up time to accommodate this change. In the meantime, we are posting the current $ARENA moats metric below. It is important to note that $ARENA Moats earn the most Moats points of any token. We will be revealing more rewards after the full system is set up.
