π Sometimes the hardest thing to accept is not losing something... but realizing it was never meant to be yours.
You can spend years praying for the same thing.
Years of hoping.
Years of imagining how different everything would feel if it finally happened.
You hold onto it through disappointments.
You tell yourself, βMaybe next time.β
You keep asking God for it because somewhere inside, you still believe there must be a reason you're being made to wait. π€
And then, one completely ordinary day...
you find out.
Not that you have to wait longer.
Not that the time isn't right.
But that it simply isn't for you.
And suddenly, all those years of hope feel different.
Because you weren't waiting for something that was late.
You were waiting for something that was never coming.
That's a strange kind of grief.
There was no goodbye.
No ending.
No final moment where you could say, βThis is over.β
Just one realization...
βI prayed for this for years, never knowing that I was praying for something that would never belong to me.β
And maybe that's why some answers hurt more when they finally arrive. π
